Strengthening Hypertension Care: PAHO and Ministry of Health Lead HEARTS Training in Antigua & Barbuda
PAHO, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, Wellness, Environment and Civil Service Affairs, recently hosted a four day HEARTS sensitization and training workshop to strengthen hypertension control across ten primary care clinics in Antigua and Barbuda

including nurses, physicians, domestic aides, pharmacists, nutritionists and more took part in hands on sessions focused on accurate blood pressure measurement and team based care.

The next phase will focus on monitoring hypertension control drivers, strengthening quality improvement, and supporting continuous learning through the PAHO Virtual Campus of Public Health.
