MEDICAL COUNCIL

The Antigua and Barbuda Medical Council is responsible for the registration and licensing of medical practitioners and the regulation of medical practice in Antigua and Barbuda.

The Council consists of:

MEDICAL BOARD

The Medical Board is responsible for the registration of dentists and opticians in Antigua and Barbuda.

Members of the Medical Board are:

MIDWIFERY BOARD

The Midwifery Board is responsible for regulating the practice of midwifery in Antigua and Barbuda.

The Midwifery Board consists of:

– Dr. Rhonda Sealey-Thomas – Chairperson
– Ms. Margaret Smith
– Mrs. Almarie Coates
– Mrs. Jacqueline Jno-Baptiste
– Mrs. Karen Josiah

NURSING COUNCIL

The Nursing Council is a statutory agency responsible for regulating professional Nursing Education and practice in Antigua and Barbuda.

The legal framework under which it operates is the Nurses Registration ACT and Nurses Registration Regulations CAP 296, of the Laws of Antigua and Barbuda.
