Fiennes Institute

Fiennes Institute was established in 1929 by His Excellency Lieutenant Sir Eustace Fiennes, then Governor of the Leeward Islands. It was established at the time solely to provide a home for the aged and destitute in society who did not have the means to maintain and care for themselves. It has long out lived its original purpose and now functions as an Elderly Health Care Facility.

On February 14, 2019 the Fiennes Institute was re-located to the Nurses Hostel Building. This development was an understanding that the previous facility was deemed inadequate to continue housing the Fiennes Institute. At present the institution houses Forty-nine (49) males and thirty-five (35) females.  We presently have ninety-five (95) members of staff at the institution.
