Antigua and Barbuda at Petersburg Climate Dialogue 2025 in Germany
Senator Michael Joseph, Junior Minister of Health, Wellness, Environment, and Civil Service Affairs, and Diane Black-Layne, Director of the Department of Environment, are attending the Petersburg Climate Change Dialogue 2025 in Germany. This high-level forum unites global leaders to discuss pressing climate issues and strengthen cooperation.
The dialogue focuses on climate financing, adaptation strategies for small island developing states (SIDS), and transitioning to renewable energy. Senator Joseph and Director Black-Layne are advocating for Antigua and Barbuda’s climate resilience priorities.
Senator Joseph also met with Norwegian Minister of Climate and Environment, Andreas Bjelland Eriksen, to reinforce the nation’s commitment to global environmental action. The insights from this event will help shape Antigua and Barbuda’s climate policies.
