The Antigua and Barbuda delegation is safe after being among the thousands of delegates evacuated from the COP30 climate summit in Brazil on Thursday.

The evacuation followed a fire that broke out at the venue during a critical stage of negotiations.

Brazilian authorities say the fire was brought under control and no injuries were reported.
