BAKU, Azerbaijan – 2th November 2024
During the COP29 climate conference, held from November 11 to 22, 2024, in Baku, Azerbaijan, Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, the Honourable Gaston Browne, met with the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, Ali Asadov.
Prime Minister Asadov welcomed Prime Minister Browne and expressed his gratitude for Antigua and Barbuda’s longstanding dedication to climate action. He acknowledged the country’s instrumental role in driving progress on climate issues and encouraged Prime Minister Browne to continue championing critical climate resolutions for the benefit of vulnerable nations worldwide.
In response, Prime Minister Browne wished Prime Minister Asadov a successful COP29 and reaffirmed Antigua and Barbuda’s commitment to climate leadership, especially for small island developing states on the front lines of climate change.
As COP29 proceeds, Antigua and Barbuda remains steadfast in its mission to advance discussions on essential climate adaptation, mitigation, and resilience initiatives.
